Divine Name: Ad-Dar
Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Whilst writing my morning pages this morning, I contemplated on Allah’s Name, Ad-Dar.

AD DAR

The Creator of Harm

There are lots of ways we can be harmed
And so we have to take the means to stay safe.

There are many ways we can find benefit
and so we have to take the means to benefit from what we do.

I can ask myself:
– Is this harming my hereafter?
– Is this harming my relationship with Allah?
– Is this harming my relationship with the Messenger of Allah (s)?
– Is this harming my relationship with others?
– Is this harming my relationship with myself?

I can stop myself when I connect to you, Oh Dar, Ya Daaru.

I can connect, instead, to be a means to benefit others.

I can take benefit of the 5 before 5., of health before sickness, or self-care before burnout.

Harm exists so I should take the means to protect myself. protect my energy levels, protect myself from the harm of others.

I can benefit from boundaries.

Protect myself from overworking, burnout, being the martyr, the rescue, the pushover.

Protect others from harming them with my tongue, or due to neglect.

What can you reflect on when you contemplate on this Divine Name?

The Four Traits of a Cherished Muslimah

Sara’s words penetrate deep

I began seeing the man I married that very evening.

I came to the session thinking it cant help my marriage that drastically but the effects were instantaneous!

I now have the tools to continue making improvements within my marriage, most importantly changes within myself.

Sara has helped me in so many ways!

By allowing me to feel more empowered, by showing me how to action boundaries,

by helping me to find my self-esteem,

by explaining how other people may be feeling and how to understand this,

by enabling me to do self-care things which are helpful to me.

I’ve come such a long way since my work with you

I was in such a mess with that relationship. I worked through my worthiness, self-love, finding myself and building my relationship with Allah. You introduced me to a whole new world

Universal Principles

Principles that you can apply to any aspect of your life and relationships not just in marriage!

Nearly on the verge of divorce

Attending this two-day workshop was a memorable experience.

It helped my marriage at a time when it was nearly on the verge of a divorce.

Alhamdulillah, this is 6 years of a peaceful marriage – been married 18 years now.

Sara empowered me to set boundaries, and stand up for myself.

She reminded me about my intentions and goals, and in general to have a much happier marriage and life.
